About
Two Sisters Photography features the work of photographer Cassandra Morrish. Cassandra is an equine enthusiast who has been involved with horses and the equine industry for close to 20 years. She started riding as a teenager, and has competed in the disciplines of show jumping, hunters, and dressage. Cassandra grew up loving horses, and her years working with them has only increased her passion and appreciation for them. Photography was a hobby that developed right alongside her passion for horses as she wanted to capture and preserve as many memories of her time with horses as possible. Over time, Cassandra began to realize the beauty of presenting the world as she saw it through her photography. She could see the joy that the memories captured in her images brought to others. Cassandra always aims to capture those special moments to share with others.
You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved. - Ansel Adams
Behind the Name |
While the main contribution of work for Two Sisters Photography comes from Cassandra, her passion for photography developed alongside her sister, Melanie. The name Two Sisters comes from the acknowledgment that the passion for both horses and photography was developed in close collaboration between sisters. Side by side, sisters Cassandra and Melanie have made their journey, and have learned and grown their skills with both horses and photography together. They continue to inspire and encourage each other. From time to time, images from Melanie may appear in the gallery.
